Up-and-Down Night at Halifax Nets Ninth Place Effort
(June 20, 2019) Daniel Baggerly
and the B&B Motorsports team made their second start of
the 2019 campaign on Saturday night, June 15 at the newly renamed
Halifax County Motor Speedway in Brinkleyville, North Carolina.
The I-95 Late Model Challenge Series descended upon the former
Clary's Motor Speedway to preside over a $2,500 to win shootout.
Daniel stopped the clock second fastest overall during qualifying
to earn the outside of the front row for the start of the feature
"Bagz" sported a fast Longhorn racecar and was battling
for the top spot in the headliner when a skirmish in lapped
traffic resulted in a flat tire on his #16 mount. After a quick
tire change led by his father Jim Baggerly, Daniel returned
to the racetrack at the tail of the field and blasted all the
way back up to sixth in the running order. However, he was later
caught up in another wreck and eventually settled for a ninth
place showing. Full results from the I-95 special at Halifax
can be viewed online at www.halifaxcountymotorspeedway.com.
The #16 team is scheduled to take the upcoming June 21-22 weekend
off from racing activities. Next up on the racing calendar for
Daniel and B&B Motorsports will be a visit to County Line
Raceway in Elm City, North Carolina on Saturday evening, June
29. More information concerning this contest can be found online
